Kathleen Ameche
Kathleen (Kathy) Ameche is a Director at RightPoint Consulting. Kathy is a recognized Senior Executive and Corporate Officer with over 25 years of consulting, business and executive management experience. Kathy’s experience has incorporated particular emphasis on strategic alignment, IT strategy development, corporate governance and implementation, targeting increased revenues, improved customer satisfaction and decreased costs in changing economic climates. Kathy brings to bear her business, accounting and technology backgrounds when creating and leading technology divisions or developing initiatives to support organizational strategic and tactical goals.
Kathy began her career with Deloitte, an international public accounting firm. As a consultant and manager, she focused her efforts on identifying and building technology solutions in various environments. She then joined Dun & Bradstreet Software (later named Geac), where she became a Director. She was part of the leadership team that moved the firm into the client service arena and headed the consulting and software implementation practice for the Canadian and United States Midwest regions. In 1997 she joined Tribune Company, a Fortune 500 media and entertainment company, where she became Vice President and Chief Information Officer. At the same time, Kathy was a member of Tribune Company’s Steering Committee, which oversaw the integration of Times Mirror ($8 billion corporate acquisition including the Los Angeles Times) with Tribune Company.
In 2003, she joined West Monroe Partners, LLC, as a Vice President. She launched its CIO services practice area, focusing on IT strategy and governance, portfolio management, business continuity and disaster recovery and operational effectiveness. She has also written the best selling business book The Woman Road Warrior: A Woman’s Guide to Business Travel (Agate 2005), the 2nd edition of which was released in May 2007. She has launched A-WayTravel Gear a line of elegant travelware products for today’s traveling women. Kathy also speaks and leads seminars, especially for women’s groups, on business career development and travel safety and other travel issues.
